exercise helps you to learn how to find information on the Internet. Please
print out the page, then follow the instructions step by step:

I. Use Internet to find the current population of the United States.

Double click the icon for Internet Explorer.
- In
the address box type: http://www.msn.com (or you can also type: http://www.yahoo.com),
then press enter.
- In
the search box, type: US population, then press enter.
- You
will see a list of web sites with the information about the US population.
Pick the most possible one for your need. Here you can click "Population
Estimates-US Census Bureau".
- To
find the most recent facts, click "American FactFinder" in the box on
the right.
- Move
the scroll bar on the eight side of your screen with your mouse until
you see the United States total population. Write down your finding
here:
