Key icon Access Science
Access Science is an online encyclopedia for science and technology that provides over 7,000 articles, 115,000 dictionary terms, research updates, biographies, news and links to web sites for further research.
Key icon Alt-Press Watch
Alt-PressWatch is a full-text database comprised of the newspapers, magazines and journals of the alternative and independent press. These publications provide in-depth coverage of a broad range of critical issues confronting contemporary society, including ecology and the environment, grassroots organizing, labor, indigenous peoples, public policy, genetics, and more.   AskERIC
The AskERIC database provides indexing and abstracting for documents and journal articles in the field of education, from 1966 to the present. AskERIC is a free database, available to anyone over the Internet.

Books24x7 provides access to the full text of over 1,700 books in the computer and high-tech fields. In addition to being able to browse the entire contents of books, users can do a keyword search through all or selected titles. Users can also bookmark, annotate and create a personal bookshelf.

Britannica Online is the online version of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, plus selected Internet sites and articles from magazines and journals.
  College Source
College Source features over 12,000 College Catalogs in complete cover-to-cover original page format including 2-year, 4-year, graduate, and professional schools, along with a profile of every accredited college in the U.S. Includes a search feature so users can find colleges by major, enrollment, tuition, degrees, state, or affiliation. Available only in the library.

Contemporary Authors is a full-text database providing information on modern writiers, including authors, poets and playwrights. Entries may include biographical information, list of published works, interviews, critical reception of author's works, and sources for more information.
Key icon Ethnic NewsWatch
Ethnic NewsWatch is a full-text database containing articles from the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press. Articles are available in English and Spanish. Covers a wide range of disciplines and subject areas.

Key icon netLibrary
netLibrary is a collection of over 6,600 eBooks. These eBooks can be accessed through the Catalog of the Seattle Community College Libraries, or by going directly to netLibrary. eBooks can be browsed online or checked out for a period of 3 days. Pages may be printed out or copied, one page at a time. To check eBooks out, you will need to physically go into an SCC Library and create an account. After that, you will be able to access netLibrary on campus or off-site.
  Online Databases - King County Library System
The King County Library provides access to a number of online databases that may be searched over the Web. Access to the databases requires a King County Library card, which may be obtained by any resident of King County. Library Locations. Note: The King County Library System has reciprocal agreements with many other county libraries. If you live outside King County, you may still be able to obtain a card.   Online Databases - Seattle Public Library
The Seattle Public Library provides access to a number of online databases that may be searched over the Web. Access to the databases requires a Seattle Public Library card, which may be obtained by any resident of Seattle. Locations of Seattle Public Library branches.
Key icon ProQuestDirect
The ProQuest Direct database provides access to articles from over 2,000 magazines, journals and newspapers. The majority are available full text -- meaning the entire article is available to read, print, send by email, or download to disk. Subjects covered include arts, business, humanities, health, social sciences, science and technology.   PubMed Database (MEDLINE)
PubMed provides access to MEDLINE, a bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences. MEDLINE contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from more than 4,000 biomedical journals published in the United States and 70 other countries. PubMed is a free database, available to anyone over the Internet.

WOIS On-line Career Information
The WOIS database contains job descriptions for more than 340 occupations, as well as information on training programs and schools in Washington state. Available only in the library or on campus.
