Government Economic Sites

The Beige Book U.S. 2007
"Commonly known as the Beige Book, this report is published eight times per year. Each Federal Reserve Bank gathers anecdotal information on current economic conditions in its District through reports from Bank and Branch directors and interviews with key business contacts, economists, market experts, and other sources. The Beige Book summarizes this information by District and sector."

Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA)
Provides regional, national and international economic data. Also includes industry data.

Bureau of Labor Statistics
Provides statistics on the labor force, employment, unemployment, consumer price index, compensation, working conditions and productivity.

Consumer Expenditure Survey
Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Consumer Expenditure Survey collects information from the Nation's households and families on their buying habits (expenditures), income, and characteristics.

Economic Census 2002
A profile of the US economy taken by the U.S. Census Bureau every 5 years, from the national to the local level.

Economic Statistics Briefing Room
Provides data on current economic indicators, such as employment, income, prices, production, transportation, etc.

Regional Economic Conditions (RECON)
