The Library Catalog lists books, videos, audio cassettes, compact discs and other materials owned by all three Seattle Community College libraries. Any computer with an Internet connection can access the Library Catalog. Materials from each library can be transferred among the three campuses via the Request Item function.

Search Engines and Metacrawlers
Search engines are tools for finding information on the Internet by entering keywords or phrases into a search query. Each search engine has its own features and "rules" for searching. Understanding how a particular search engine works is important for effective searching.

Virtual Libraries and Web Portals
Subject directories provide lists of Web sites arranged by category or subject. The categories are generally arranged in a hierarchical structure, going from broad to specific. Browsing subject directories can be a good starting point for finding information on the Web.
