Media Services has a subscription to Netflix for educational purposes. To order documentary and feature film DVDs from Netflix, contact Media Services by email or phone (see contact us) with the following information:
- The title and any other information needed to identify the correct film (date, director, etc.)
- The date you need the film and how long you need to keep it (limited to 1 week).
-
It usually takes two working days from the time we enter the title until it arrives. Netflix lets us know where it is coming from and the approximate arrival date. We will contact you by e-mail when your DVD comes in; you can pick it up at the circulation desk or you can arrange to have it delivered to your classroom with the equipment.
-
Our subscription is limited to 8 DVDs at a time, so we may not always be able to accommodate every request.
Depending on demand, and in order to allow us to serve as many faculty as we can, we may limit the number of DVDs you can order for any one time, and have set a one week loan period per title.
-
Note that not all titles may be available when you want them. Some titles come back as “short wait” or “availability unknown” meaning the title is booked elsewhere, and they are not sure when it will become available. If this is the case we will contact you to keep you informed of the status of your order.
